Trouble-shooting
If you are experiencing any issues, please visit your graphics
card's manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for
your particular operating system:
http://www.ati.com
http://www.nvidia.com
Additionally, try turning off hardware acceleration for your
graphics card to see if that solves your problem.
Windows 95/98:
Right-click on the My Computer desktop icon and select Properties.
You can also go through Start | Settings | Control Panel | System.
Click on the Performance tab sheet. Under the Advanced settings,
select Graphics. Where it says Hardware acceleration, move the
slider all the way down to None.
Windows XP:
Start | Settings | Control Panel and click on the Display icon.
From there, go to Settings | Advanced | Troubleshoot. Where it says
Hardware acceleration, move the slider all the way down to None.

Multiple Monitors
Unwrap 3D uses OpenGL to render its 3D viewports, so it is important your graphics card
fully supports it when using multiple monitors.
When using multiple monitors and NVidia graphics cards, it is recommended that hardware acceleration
is set to Compatibility performance mode. This can be found in the NVidia control panel
under 3D Settings | Manage 3D Settings. Note that if any NVidia settings are changed, Unwrap 3D should be restarted.
Windows Vista
Here are a couple of suggestions if you encounter any issues
running Ultimate Unwrap 3D under Vista:
- Turn off Data Execution Prevention (DEP) for the Unwrap 3D program.
In Windows XP, you can find DEP in Start | Settings | Control Panel |
System | Advanced | Performance | Settings | Data Execution Prevention.
This should be located in the same place as Vista.
- Turn off Aero by selecting a different color scheme such as Windows Vista Basic,
Windows Standard, or Windows Classic.
- Some graphics drivers for Vista may be problematic. If you are using
NVidia, look for a setting called Threaded Optimization in the NVidia
control panel under 3D Settings | Manage 3D Settings. Turn this setting off.
- If you can, try turning off hardware acceleration for your graphics
card. See above for an example of how to do this under XP.
- Right-click on the Unwrap 3D executable file and choose Properties.
Under the Compatibility tab, select Run this program in compatibility mode for
Windows 95. Also try Windows 98/ME/XP.
Windows 95 Users
You may need the Microsoft HTML Help Update Component,
hhupd.exe (716 KB), to read .CHM help files. If you already
have MS Internet Explorer 4.0 or later, then this is not
required.

You may also need the OpenGL v1.1 libraries for Windows 95
if you encounter any error messages regarding missing OpenGL32
functions, such as glDeleteTextures:

Old or missing mfc42.dll
If you are unable to run the installer, you may need an updated version
of mfc42.dll. You can find version 6.0.8665.0 in the Microsoft Vcredist.exe redistributable
runtime package:

MSVC++ Redistributables
Some plugins (e.g. Autodesk FBX) may require Microsoft runtime libraries not found on your computer:

DirectX Redistributables
You may need Microsoft DirectX 9.0c or later. The following
download will only install d3dx9_26.dll and d3dx9_31.dll:
d3dx9c_redist.zip (2.5 MB)
